Way Back When...
I've thought about the ornate gaming phone apps which are on the market. Apple's store touts millions of them. Google's Play store has many as well. Why is it that many of them sell for free? How do the game developers make a return on their efforts to design and build their apps? A few approaches include "In game offers" which sell credits for things like unlocking special features or offer replay of games. The most obvious is in game advertising as well. Still, how does this present as a lucrative pursuit?2026 Retrospective: AI Platforms have revolutionized the App game. Before it took solopreneurs and companies with thousands of dollars to bankroll an app. Now you can do it as Joe Shmo and a weekend afternoon. The app game has definitely changed. AFAIK, The Apple App store has already pushed past the billion mark in count. What I believe though is that you don't need to market to the entire Internet- just a subset of loyal followers who believe in what you're doing and enjoy your work. Even from there a modest business has the potential to take off.
